Enthusiasm, Strengths, and Today
Some days feel slow to start. Others meet you at the door, ready to begin.
Either way, it helps to keep your attention on the things that keep you steady.
Either way, it helps to keep your attention on the things that keep you steady.
3 Thoughts From Me
I.
Enthusiasm is fragile. It’s easy to lose when you measure it against someone else’s pace. Protect it by doing the work that excites you first.
II.
Playing to your strengths is not about ignoring your weaknesses. It’s about building a rhythm around what you do best so you can carry more of the load with less strain.
III.
Living one day at a time is less about philosophy and more about focus. Ask yourself what you can handle now and leave the rest until it becomes real.
2 Quotes From Others
I.
On enthusiasm
“Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.”
(Essay, 1841)
It’s a reminder that skill and effort alone aren’t enough. The energy you bring shapes the work you create.
II.
On living one day at a time
“I have learned to use the word ‘impossible’ with the greatest caution.”
(Interview, 1971)
When you focus on what’s possible today, the future stops feeling overwhelming. Big challenges shrink when taken in daily steps.
1 Question For You
What would this week look like if you gave most of your energy to the things you’re naturally good at?
With thanks,
