On Rest, Growth, and Letting Go
Some thoughts on the long way around. Unexpected turns. Rest that restores. And how becoming a parent shifts the shape of things.
3 Thoughts From Me
I.
Success rarely shows up the way you pictured it. It comes later. Looks different. Often, you only recognise it once you’ve stopped trying to prove something.
II.
Downtime is underrated. It’s when things land. When you remember what matters. Without it, everything gets flattened into urgency.
III.
Parenting softens your focus and sharpens it at the same time. You see new details. You let go of old ones. Design becomes more about care than control.
2 Quotes From Others
I.
On success
“Success is not the result of making money; earning money is the result of success.”
(Broadcast, 1959)
This helped me shift from chasing outcomes to refining process. Success follows alignment, not pressure.
II.
On rest
“You rest because you’re human, not because you’ve earned it.”
(Book, 2022)
This reminds me that rest is a right, not a reward. Especially in creative work, where clarity needs space.
1 Question For You
What kind of success are you no longer chasing?

P.S. Sometimes slowing down is how you catch up with yourself.
